Hyaluronic Acid skincare serum bottle

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is naturally produced by your body, but topical formulas layer extra hydration at the surface and, thanks to low-molecular-weight versions, deeper in the epidermis. It is lightweight, non-comedogenic, and safe for every skin type — including sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Key benefits

  • Delivers instant, plumping hydration
  • Softens the look of fine, dehydration-related lines
  • Strengthens the skin barrier when paired with emollients
  • Suitable for every skin type, including oily and acne-prone
  • Works synergistically with actives like retinol and vitamin C

Who should use it?

Every skin type. Especially useful if your skin feels tight, looks dull, or you are using exfoliating actives.

How to use hyaluronic acid

  1. Apply to slightly damp skin after cleansing.
  2. Press 2–3 drops of serum into the face and neck.
  3. Always seal with a moisturizer so HA does not pull water from deeper layers.
  4. Safe for both morning and evening use.

Pairs well with

  • Retinol
  • Vitamin C
  • Niacinamide
  • Peptides

Frequently asked questions

Can I use hyaluronic acid every day?

Yes — it is safe to use morning and night. HA is one of the gentlest actives in skincare and does not cause irritation or photosensitivity.

Why does my skin feel dry after using hyaluronic acid?

In low-humidity climates, HA can pull water from the deeper skin rather than the air. Always apply to damp skin and seal with a moisturizer containing ceramides or squalane.

What is the difference between hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate?

Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of HA and is often used for its lightweight feel. Many modern serums combine several molecular weights for hydration across the skin surface.
